The values and techniques demonstrated by Kroc live on into the 2000s. Jim Skinner, CEO of the Mcdonald's Corporation from 1991-2012, employed his Plan-To-Win strategy in 2003, which focused on the customer. Continuing with the push for a welcoming environment, friendly staff, and low prices, Skinner continued Kroc's legacy of service.

Returning to the basics in May 2015, Easterbrook calls for 90% of their restaurants to be franchised, up 9% by 2018, and a simpler, faster method of approaching business. Easterbrook plans to gain better relations with its customers, returning to Kroc's emphasis on the consumer.
